Father Severin’s Lemon Balm Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The lemon balm drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of lemon balm leaves.
Lemon balm belongs to the Lamiaceae family. Lemon balm preparations are primarily used to treat nervous-related sleep disturbances and functional gastrointestinal complaints. This is due to the plant’s calming, antispasmodic and digestive-aiding constituents. Lemon balm also contains an important tannin with antiviral, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties: rosmarinic acid. Other constituents include essential oils, flavonoids and bitter compounds.
