Pater Severin Horse Chestnut Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The horse chestnut drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of horse chestnut seeds.
The most important ingredients of horse chestnut include triterpene glycosides, flavonoids, coumarins and fatty oils. The triterpene saponin aescin is particularly responsible for the vein-strengthening properties. Complaints such as heavy legs, swelling and the resulting pain in the legs are typical signs of venous insufficiency. Due to their astringent effect, horse chestnut seeds have also proven to be effective against diarrhoea.
