Father Severin’s hemp oil ointment is based on a centuries-old monastic recipe; it provides intense moisturisation and is rich in valuable nutrients for the skin.
Our skin acts as a protective barrier against the outside world. It reflects how well our immune system is functioning. Under normal circumstances, the skin can cope well with individual irritants, such as air pollution, strong UV radiation, the stresses of everyday life and an insufficiently healthy diet. If the strain becomes too great, this becomes apparent on the skin. It can no longer maintain its protective barrier and the skin becomes chapped, reddened and dry, and blemishes may develop. Hemp oil contains a beneficial balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. It also contains vitamins B and E, as well as the minerals calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron. These are the nutrients that healthy skin needs to maintain its elasticity and defences.
