The hazelnut bush grows up to six metres high. In Europe, the main cultivation area is Turkey and Italy. Hazelnut leaves contain valuable ingredients such as phenols, tannins and silicic acid. Hazelnut leaves are said to have blood-purifying, haemostatic, antipyretic, tonic and slimming properties.
