Pater Severin Field Mint Drops are a dietary supplement for oral use. The mint leaf drops contain a high-quality aqueous/alcoholic extract of field mint.
Field mint, also known as Japanese mint or field mint, gives off an intense menthol odour when the leaves are crushed, similar to peppermint. An essential oil containing around 80% menthol is extracted from the flowering herb by steam distillation. Menthol is used in medicine both internally for the digestive tract and respiratory tract, and externally for rubbing into muscles, nerves and in nasal ointments.
