Father Severin’s Fennel Syrup is a traditional and natural remedy made from fennel fruits according to an old monastic recipe.
Bitter fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) belongs to the umbellifer family (Apiaceae). The ripe fruits are used; when crushed, they give off the characteristic fennel scent. Fennel fruits contain essential oil (bitter fennel oil) with the sweet-tasting trans-anethol and the bitter fenchone. Based on many years of experience, fennel incorporated into a syrup can be used to treat mild cramp-like symptoms in the gastrointestinal tract, bloating and flatulence, as well as acting as an expectorant for coughs.
Fennel syrup contains high-quality raw materials that meet pharmacopoeia standards. The syrup is manufactured in accordance with the specifications of the pharmacopoeia.
