Fairy flowers, which are also known as sock flowers, belong to the barberry family (Berberidaceae). In traditional Chinese medicine, ivy flower herb is used to treat rheumatism, high blood pressure and menopausal symptoms. In folk medicine, the ivy flower is also used as an aphrodisiac.
