The red cinchona tree gained its fame and its name through the Countess de Chinchòn (1963). According to legend, the Countess was cured of malaria thanks to the effects of cinchona bark. The bark of the red cinchona tree is rich in tannins and bitter alkaloids, including quinine, quinidine, chinchonin and chinchonidine. The peel of this bitter orange is prized for its high content of bitter compounds. The root of the yellow gentian (Gentiana lutea) also contains a number of bitter compounds. Amarogentin, which is stored in the root bark, is primarily responsible for the high bitterness level. Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) contains essential oils (cinnamaldehyde, eugenol) as well as numerous tannins. It is beneficial for blood circulation.

- To be massaged into the skin.
- Notes: Apply only to intact skin. Discontinue use immediately if any skin irritation occurs. Avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children and store at room temperature.
