The Gerber acacia or catechu (Acacia catechu (L.f.) Willd) belongs to the legume family (Fabaceae). The dried, dark brown extract from the wood of the tree is used. The ingredients are catechins, catechin tannins, quercetin and quercitrin. Catechu ointment can be used for skin irritations and to protect against external influences. It can also be used for joint complaints

- Massage into the skin
