One moment’s inattention and it’s happened: a table edge gets in your way or the doorway suddenly turns out to be lower than expected. A healthy body is perfectly capable of healing bruises and minor scrapes. But there’s certainly no harm in giving your body a little help with one herb or another: True arnica (Arnica montana), when applied to the affected area, helps with its essential oils, flavonoids and sesquiterpene lactones, and speeds up the regeneration of damaged tissue. Arnica is also helpful for joint problems. However, internal use is not recommended, as it can have dangerous effects.
