Australian lemon myrtle can be relaxing or invigorating – it all depends on the dose. When heavily diluted, it has a calming effect; at higher doses, it can be stimulating. Usage

• For topical use, use highly diluted (0.5 per cent); in an aroma diffuser, use undiluted or in a 1:1:1 blend with lavender and red mandarin for a calming effect.
• Warnings: For use in aromatherapy, particularly during sensitive life stages (children, pregnancy, breastfeeding, the elderly, pre-existing conditions), consult specialist literature for the appropriate choice of oil and various methods of application. Essential oils are highly concentrated substances; therefore, caution is advised for those prone to migraines or epilepsy, as well as for young children, and when using them to scent a room where pets are present. Individual components may cause skin irritation; therefore, always dilute the oils and avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.
