FRONTPRO® 68 mg chewable tablets for dogs with a body weight of > 10 - 25 kg are a veterinary medicinal product containing the active substance afoxolaner. For the treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis and C. canis) in dogs for at least 5 weeks. For the treatment of tick infestations in dogs (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). One treatment kills ticks for up to 1 month.
Indications
- For the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs.
- Advice: Fleas and ticks must attach to the host animal and begin feeding in order to be exposed to the active ingredient.

How does FRONTPRO® work?
Afoxolaner is the active ingredient in FRONTPRO® that kills fleas and ticks by interacting with their nervous system, causing them to become overexcited and killing the parasites. The fast onset of action means that adult fleas are killed before they can lay eggs, helping to prevent environmental infestation. To keep your pet and home flea free, regular monthly treatment is recommended throughout the season.

How to use
The veterinary medicine should be administered at a dosage of 2.7- 7 mg/kg body weight according to the following table:
- Dog body weight (kg) 2 to 4: FRONTPRO® 11 mg chewable tablets for dogs.
- Dog body weight (kg) > 4 to 10: FRONTPRO® 28 mg chewable tablets for dogs.
- Dog body weight (kg) > 10 to 25: FRONTPRO® 68 mg chewable tablets for dogs.
- Dog body weight (kg) > 25 to 50: FRONTPRO® 136 mg chewable tablets for dogs.
To ensure an effect without a gap in protection, sufficient active ingredient must always be present. The product should therefore be used regularly. Parasites are active all year round - fleas, for example, are not only an issue in summer and autumn - they also feel very comfortable in heated homes in winter. We therefore recommend treating pets all year round with FRONTPRO® to protect your dog against fleas for 5 weeks. The fast-acting effect also indirectly protects the domestic environment. FRONTPRO® is effective against ticks for up to 1 month and should be administered every month for optimum effect.
- Method of application: The tablets are chewable and are well accepted by most dogs. If the dog does not accept the tablets, they can be administered with the food.
- Notes: Dogs over 50 kg body weight are given a suitable combination of chewable tablets of different/same strength. The tablets should not be divided. As no data is available, a veterinarian should be consulted before treating puppies under 8 weeks of age and/or dogs weighing less than 2 kg.
- Treatment of flea and tick infestations: For optimal control of flea and tick infestations, the veterinary medicinal product should be applied at monthly intervals during the flea and/or tick season, depending on the local epidemiological situation.
Ingredients
- Active substance: Each chewable tablet contains: Afoxolaner 68 mg.
- Other ingredients: maize starch, soya protein fine, flavouring (braised beef), povidone (E1201), macrogol 400, macrogol 4000, macrogol 15, hydroxystearate, glycerol (E422), medium-chain triglycerides.
