Active ingredients
- Thiamidol: Thiamidol acts on melanin production at its source, gradually fading existing pigmentation spots and reducing the formation of new spots. Thiamidol is the main active ingredient in the Eucerin anti-pigment skin care line. Clinical and dermatological studies confirm its excellent skin compatibility and care effectiveness. The first results are visible after just two weeks, and the results continue to improve with regular use.
- Salicylic acid: Salicylic acid is a particularly effective ingredient that combats the causes of blemished skin: clogged pores and bacterial growth. For this reason, Eucerin uses it as an ingredient in several formulas in the DERMOPURE skincare range. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that has a keratolytic (i.e. horn-dissolving or desquamating) and comedolytic (blackhead-dissolving) effect. Overall, it improves the appearance of the skin: it reduces blemishes and prevents new blemishes. Due to its good effectiveness, it only needs to be applied sparingly to the affected areas of skin.
- Licochalcone A (liquorice root extract): Licochalcone A is a powerful antioxidant and skin-soothing ingredient. It comes from the root of the Chinese liquorice plant (Glycyrrhiza inflata), which uses natural compounds to protect its cells from excessive sun exposure. Licochalcone A neutralises free radicals that negatively affect skin cells and accelerate the ageing process. It helps to protect the deeper epidermal layers of the skin from the effects of the sun.
- Glycerin: Glycerin is a nature-identical moisturising care ingredient that also occurs in the body. Nature-identical means that the substance has identical properties to the naturally occurring substance when produced synthetically. In the body, glycerine takes on the task of binding fluids and keeping the moisture balance of the skin and tissue in equilibrium. As a component of dermocosmetic products such as creams, serums and lotions, its moisturising effect ensures that the skin's moisture evaporates less and is increasingly bound instead. How to use
- Cleansing: Cleanse the skin with DermoPure Triple Effect Cleansing Gel to remove excess sebum, dirt and dead skin cells. For additional cleansing, it is recommended to use a peeling once a week to unclog the pores and refine the skin texture. The use of DermoPure Cleansing Gel is recommended when undergoing acne therapy with medication.
- Care: The care product to be used depends on the type of acne present and its treatment. For mild to moderate body acne that is not being treated with medication, DermoPure Triple Effect Body Cream is recommended against pimple marks and blemishes. If acne is being treated with medication, DermoPure Therapy Moisturiser helps to alleviate symptoms such as dryness or redness. The moisturiser should be applied 5 minutes after using the medication so that it can be fully absorbed.
- Sun protection: For additional sun protection, the Eucerin sun protection range with high and very high sun protection factor is recommended for a wide range of skin problems. Sun Body Oil Control Gel-Cream SPF 50+ is recommended for blemish-prone skin on the body.
