AtopiControl Soothing Ultra-Light Hydro-Lotion is a fragrance-free, daily-use basic skincare product that instantly soothes the skin, provides 48-hour intensive moisturisation, immediately relieves itching and strengthens the skin barrier. The ultra-light texture absorbs in 60 seconds, cooling the skin without leaving it feeling greasy or sticky.

Itching, dry patches and recurring inflammation are distressing for those with skin prone to eczema and often impair sleep and quality of life. This is why a regular skin-soothing lotion is essential. Eucerin AtopiControl Soothing Ultra-Light Hydro-Lotion is a daily basic skincare product specially formulated to soothe irritated and itchy skin and provide intensive moisturisation. The combination of licochalcone A (licorice root extract), hyaluronic acid and ceramides provides immediate relief, soothes itchy, eczema-prone skin, is particularly suitable for atopic dermatitis and ensures long-lasting skin comfort. With regular use, the condition of the skin improves noticeably; the skin becomes softer and feels smoother. The ultra-light, fast-absorbing texture is non-sticky, non-greasy and easy to apply, making it ideal for summer and for hairy areas of the body. Fragrance-free, the Eucerin AtopiControl Soothing Ultra-Light Hydro-Lotion can be used in combination with other Eucerin AtopiControl products and is suitable for adults and children aged 3 and over.

Active ingredients

Licochalcone A (liquorice root extract): Licochalcone A is a powerful antioxidant and skin-soothing ingredient. It is derived from the root of the Chinese liquorice plant (Glycyrrhiza inflata), which uses natural compounds to protect its cells from excessive sun exposure. Licochalcone A neutralises free radicals, which have a negative effect on skin cells and accelerate the ageing process. It helps to protect the deeper layers of the epidermis from sun-related damage.
Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is produced by skin cells and forms part of the skin’s connective tissue. However, the skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid decreases with age. One of the main functions of hyaluronic acid is to retain moisture: it has the ability to bind 1,000 to 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e. one gram binds between one and ten litres).
Ceramides: Ceramides are important lipids in the hydrolipid film (which protects the outer layers of the skin). They are produced naturally in healthy skin and strengthen the skin barrier. They help to prevent moisture loss through evaporation and keep out irritants that can cause inflammation and itching. When the skin’s ceramide levels drop, the skin barrier is compromised. The skin may begin to lose water and become dry and irritated.
Grape seed oil: Grape seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E. The polyphenols and flavonoids in grape seed oil have powerful antioxidant properties, offering protection against damage caused by free radicals, whilst linoleic acid soothes and nourishes the skin.

Apply AtopiControl Soothing Ultra-Light Hydro-Lotion to the body and face once or twice daily, or as required. For an optimal skincare routine, use in combination with Eucerin® AtopiControl Soothing Shower and Bath Oil.
