Energan Ketosis Paste for dairy cows and ewes is a dietary supplement (paste) for dairy cows and ewes to reduce the risk of ketosis.
Energan Ketose is a high-tech, energy-rich paste, enriched with vitamins and trace elements, used in cases of ketosis/acetonaemia to maintain normal glucose levels.

Cartridge - Paste
Directions for use
Dairy cows:
- At signs of metabolic change (usually 3 weeks before and 6 weeks after calving): 1 cartridge of Energan Ketose twice daily for 2 - 4 days.
- As a supplement to ketosis treatment: 1 cartridge of Energan Ketose twice daily as directed by the vet.
Ewes:
- Around lambing time (usually within 6 weeks before and 3 weeks after lambing): 1/3 cartridge three times daily, as directed by the vet.
- It is recommended that veterinary advice is sought before feeding or prolonging administration.
Use of Energan Ketose:
- Cut the cap off the cartridge with a knife.
- Unscrew the enclosed applicator.
- Insert the cartridge into the Energan dosing pistol.
- Hold the corner of the animal's mouth with your free hand.
- Insert the cartridge into the mouth in the direction of the base of the tongue.
- When the handle of the dosing gun is in line with the front teeth, empty the cartridge at the speed at which the animal can swallow the contents*.
* Administer only to animals with a normal swallowing reflex.
Ingredients
- Composition: Propane-1,2-diol 57 %, calcium propionate, glycerol 2 %.
- Additives per kg: Trace elements: Se (sodium selenite, E8) 1.8 mg* *1 cartridge provides 0.54 mg selenium.
- Analytical constituents: Crude protein 3.43 %, crude fibre 2.5 %, crude oils & fats 0.63 %, crude ash 1.86 %, sodium 0.005 %, moisture 89.4 %.
- Advice: Store at room temperature - Do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
