EncorMed Curcumin plus capsules are a dietary supplement and contain high-dose curcumin, the main active ingredient of the turmeric root, combined with piperine from black pepper.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa/yellow root) has been used in traditional medicine for many thousands of years, originally comes from India and South East Asia and belongs to the ginger family. The curcumin extracted from the yellowish rhizome of the plant is utilised.
In addition to various essential oils, black pepper (Piper nigrum) contains piperine (secondary plant substance), which promotes the absorption of nutrients and increases the effect of curcumin.
