In healthy people, many billions of intestinal bacteria work every day to ensure that digestion functions properly. In EncorMed® Active Probiotic 11, eleven active and reproducible probiotic lactic acid bacteria have been protected against high temperatures, moisture, pressure and low pH values of gastric and bile acids in the human digestive tract by a patented process using dual-coating technology, so that they can be released reliably and highly efficiently in the intestine ("at the point of need") by the pH-dependent release mechanism.
