Embamed® Black Cumin Oil Ointment 50% is a skincare ointment designed to provide supportive care for sensitive skin.
The seeds of true black cumin (Nigella sativa) and the high-quality oil extracted from them have been used as a natural remedy for over 2,000 years and are notable for containing a whole range of bioactive plant compounds: In addition to phytochemicals such as thymohydroquinone, nigellone, nigellidine, nigellicin and flavonoids, thymoquinone and alpha-hederin are considered particularly valuable. This combination of ingredients proves extremely beneficial for allergy-related skin irritations, rashes and atopic conditions, and is suitable for use on highly sensitive and flaky skin. The polyunsaturated fatty acids in black cumin oil provide the skin with the necessary building blocks for cell renewal, thereby ensuring a smooth and healthy complexion. The skin regenerates quickly. The black cumin oil used in Embamed® 50% ointment comes from Egypt and is produced exclusively using a gentle cold-pressing process. The favourable climatic conditions there, with high levels of sunlight, ensure that the seeds have a low water content, which increases the proportion of essential oils.
