Elimax® Shampoo is a transparent liquid made from a specially developed oil and a lice protection factor (LPF®). The polymer oil has been specially selected to achieve maximum effectiveness against head lice. The mixture has a double effect:

1. It blocks the breathing openings of lice and nits, suffocating them.
2. It dries out lice and shrinks the insect's skin.

Elimax® Shampoo contains no neurotoxic insecticides, so there is no risk of developing resistance. Elimax® Shampoo contains no silicones (dimethicone), so it leaves no greasy residue in the hair. Elimax® Shampoo contains the LPF® for maximum protection against a new lice infestation. This factor makes the hair unattractive to lice. Hair treated and washed with Elimax® Shampoo is less likely to be infested with new lice.

How does Elimax® Shampoo protect the hair from re-infestation?

The LPF® is a mixture of a polymer (acrylate) and oil-soluble substances that makes the surface of the hair less attractive to lice crawling on it. Studies have shown that lice are less likely to remain on hair and fabrics treated with Elimax® shampoo.

How to use

1. Apply the shampoo to dry hair: place a towel around the neck and shoulders to prevent the product from dripping onto skin or clothing. Use the handy applicator to apply Elimax® Shampoo directly to the scalp and dry hair lengths, covering everything. Make sure that the product does not get into your mouth/lungs or eyes (e.g. by covering your mouth/eyes with a flannel). Massage the shampoo in well from the roots to the ends of the hair, paying particular attention to the areas behind the ears and at the nape of the neck. Leave the product on for 10 to 15 minutes while combing the hair (see step 2). Do not cover the hair.
2. Comb the hair directly after applying Elimax: If you comb the hair carefully with the fine-toothed Elimax® nit comb directly after application, the success rate of the treatment is further increased. 1. comb the hair with a normal comb to detangle the hair. 2. divide the hair into 4 sections: from the front of the head to the nape of the neck and then from one ear to the other. 3. next, comb each section with the fine-toothed Elimax® nit comb starting as close to the scalp as possible. Always comb from top to bottom. 4. clean the comb with a paper towel after each section to remove the collected lice and nits. Put each lice/nits-free strand to one side.
3. Wash the hair after 10 to 15 minutes (including the time for combing): First add some water to the treated hair to lather it up. Then rinse out the foam thoroughly with plenty of water. The shampoo can be rinsed out more easily with lukewarm water. Make sure that Elimax® does not get into the eyes. The hair does not need to be washed again with a normal shampoo. Dry the hair thoroughly with a towel. Do not use a hair dryer. If the treatment is used in the evening, make sure the hair is completely dry before going to bed. Check the hair daily for 7 days for possible infestation. Repeat the treatment if you discover renewed lice infestation during this period. In the majority of cases, a single treatment is sufficient.

Special instructions: Protects against re-infestation for up to 3 days! Can also be used as a preventative treatment, e.g. to protect the hair from lice if there is a lice alarm at school or the siblings have lice. Please be careful when treating yourself and bend your head slightly backwards to avoid contact with the eyes.
