This handy set from Elimax® combines effective treatment and prevention. Gently remove lice and nits from the hair. It also offers reliable protection against re-infestation.

With the Elimax® combo pack, you get the ideal duo for effectively combating lice and nits, as well as for long-term prevention of re-infestation. The set consists of Elimax® Shampoo against Lice & Nits (for acute treatment) and Elimax® Lice Defence Shampoo (for gentle prevention). Both products utilise the innovative Lice Protection Factor (LPF®) and care for the hair without any harsh chemicals.

Directions for use

Elimax® Shampoo for lice & nits 

For acute treatment

This clear, specialised shampoo combats head lice quickly and reliably in just 10 to 15 minutes. The polymer oil it contains blocks the insects’ breathing holes (causing them to suffocate) and dries them out. At the same time, the LPF® factor protects against re-infestation from the very first wash. 

Directions for use (acute treatment): 

1. Application: Using the user-friendly applicator, apply the shampoo generously directly to dry hair (scalp and lengths).
2. Massage in: Massage well from the roots to the ends (especially behind the ears and at the nape of the neck). 
3. Leave on & comb through: Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Whilst doing so, divide the hair into 4 sections and comb through directly from the scalp downwards using a fine-toothed nit comb to remove lice and nits. 
4. Rinse out: Add a little water to work the shampoo into a lather, then rinse thoroughly with plenty of lukewarm water. No additional regular shampoo is required! 
5. Check: Dry the hair with a towel (do not use a hairdryer). Check for lice daily over the following 7 days and repeat the treatment if necessary. 

Elimax® Lice Prevention Shampoo

For prevention & aftercare:

This shampoo has been specially developed to prevent head lice infestations (e.g. following a lice alert at school or among siblings). It is used just like a conventional shampoo, gently cleansing and conditioning the hair. Thanks to the LPF® it contains, an invisible protective film is formed which actively repels lice and prevents any stray lice from laying eggs.

Directions for use (prevention):

1. Washing: Apply the Defence Shampoo to wet hair – just like a normal shampoo. 
2. Leave on: Leave the lather on for approx. 2 minutes.
3. Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
4. Tip for optimal protection: To maintain protection against lice, it is recommended to use this shampoo every 3 days during high-risk periods.
