Stress urinary incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine during physical exertion, e.g. during sport or when sneezing, coughing or laughing. It is the most common form of female incontinence and affects many women throughout their lives. Efemia is a vaginal, non-invasive device. The design follows the same scientific principles and methods as the most common surgical solutions for the correction of stress urinary incontinence.

How to use
Efemia is inserted into the vagina so that the handle rests firmly against the pubic bone/perineum. Make sure that the support rings are inserted completely through the vaginal opening and lie over the pelvic floor, just like a tampon. When pressure is applied to the bladder, the middle section of the urethra is pressed lightly against the Efemia support rings so that it bends, reducing or preventing urine leakage. You can go to the toilet as usual without removing Efemia.
