Stress incontinence refers to the involuntary leakage of urine during physical exertion, e.g. whilst exercising, or when sneezing, coughing or laughing. It is the most common form of female incontinence, and many women are affected by it at some point in their lives.
Efemia is a vaginal, non-invasive device. Its design is based on the same scientific principles and methods as the most common surgical solutions for correcting stress urinary incontinence.

Form

Directions for use
Efemia is inserted into the vagina so that the handle rests firmly against the pubic bone/perineum.
Ensure that the support rings are inserted fully through the vaginal opening and rest above the pelvic floor, just like a tampon.
When pressure is exerted on the bladder, the middle section of the urethra is gently pressed against the Efemia support rings, causing them to bend, which reduces or completely prevents urine leakage. You can go to the toilet as normal without removing Efemia.
