What is colostrum?

Colostrum is the first milk for mammals, which is produced by the mother's mammary glands in order to optimally nourish the newborn. After three to five days, the colostrum changes into normal milk. Colostrum has long been underestimated. However, the latest studies show its great importance. Colostrum is a unique composition of a large number of bioactive substances and antibodies, the so-called immunoglobulins. The cow's colostrum contains 40 times more of these immune substances than human colostrum. Colostrum therefore contains a large number of valuable components that no artificially produced product could have in this composition.
