- Hibiscus (also known as red mallow or karkade) is an annual plant that grows up to 5 metres high. The calyxes and outer calyxes are harvested and dried during the fruiting season.
- Effect: Hibiscus flowers have a typical pleasantly sour taste; the drinks prepared from them are thirst-quenching and have an intense red colour. No specific medicinal effect is known; in folk medicine, red mallow is used to treat colds and circulatory problems and as a mild laxative.

How to use
- Pour boiling water over 1-2 filter bags per cup (125 ml), cover and leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes. Then squeeze out the filter bag well and drink the tea lukewarm in sips.
- TIP: To obtain a more intensive tea infusion, we recommend simmering 3 filter bags in 300 ml of water for approx. 5 minutes.
