Native to the tropics, West Indian lemongrass can grow up to 3 metres tall. Whilst in Malaysia it is a home remedy for heat-related ailments, in India it is used for digestive problems, in Brazil for emotional imbalance and in Nigeria to repel insects.

Usage

• Add a few drops to an aroma lamp, diffuser or onto a scent carrier. For use in making aromatic cosmetics and massage oils.
• Notes: Pregnant women and children under 5 years of age should only use the oil under the supervision of a qualified professional. Due to its skin-irritating properties, we recommend a maximum lemongrass concentration of 0.3% in blends for use on the skin. The oil has GRAS status (generally recognised as safe) with the FDA. Do not apply undiluted to the skin without the guidance of a therapist and use for external purposes only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
