I look up into the tree canopy. The tiny leaves sway gently. Eucalyptus stimulates the mind and promotes concentration. It loosens phlegm, restores free breathing and strengthens the immune system. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it strengthens Yang in cases of Yang-Qi deficiency.
The Aboriginal people were aware of the eucalyptus tree’s expectorant properties long before Europe even knew of Australia’s existence. The oil from eucalyptus leaves helps with feverish conditions, boosts the immune system and loosens phlegm – simply perfect for the wet and cold season! It helps you breathe freely and clears your head. Add a few drops of the oil to hot water and inhale.
Eucalyptus forests now also grow in southern Europe. There are around 600 species worldwide; we use the oil from the Blue Gum eucalyptus, which can grow up to 60 metres tall.

- Add a few drops to an aroma lamp, diffuser or onto a scent carrier. For use in making aromatic cosmetics and massage oils
