Support for insecure dogs

Help your dog to cope with difficult situations:

  • Loneliness and change
  • Thunderstorms and fireworks
  • Transport and visits to the vet
  • Car journeys and travelling
Unfamiliar situations or changes that are not a problem for many dogs can be extremely unsettling for others. Anxious and sensitive dogs need patient and sensitive care in order to feel at ease. This also includes positive reinforcement.

Praise and reward your dog for calm and relaxed behaviour. Positive reinforcement can help build trust and show the dog that good things happen when he relaxes.

You should also create a safe place for the dog to retreat to when he is feeling anxious. This could be a dog crate, a blanket in a quiet corner or a basket in a secluded room.

Special and proven ingredients that are released into the environment or sprayed on problematic areas can also have a positive influence on a relaxed mood and help your pet to feel mentally at ease again.

  • Valerian has been used for centuries to calm and relax.
  • Substances similar to pheromones, which are released into the air and resemble a calming hormone in the mother animal, have a relaxing effect on dogs. This has also been investigated in studies. ¹ ² ³
