The capsules of Doppelherz system MSM Glucosamine therefore contain vitamin C and manganese:
- Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for normal cartilage and bone function.
- Manganese contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Manganese also contributes to normal connective tissue formation.
- It also contains 800 mg glucosamine sulphate as a daily amount - when taken 2 capsules daily - in combination with 500 mg MSM (methylsulphonylmethane), 100 mg green-lipped mussel powder, 100 mg chondroitin sulphate and 40 mg UC-II®1).
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) - the magic of sulphur
The complicated-sounding term MSM (methylsulphonylmethane) refers to an organic sulphur compound that consists of approximately one third sulphur. Sulphur is particularly common in nature and is found in plants, animals and humans.
Glucosamine, chondroitin and green-lipped mussel
- Glucosamine is an endogenous protein structure that belongs to the amino sugars.
- Chondroitin belongs to the group of glucosaminoglycans (GAG). Both glucosamine and chondroitin are produced by the human body to a certain extent, but this natural ability can diminish with age. Natural sources of glucosamine include marine animals such as mussels, shrimps and crabs.
- The green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculusaus), also known as the green mussel, originates from the beaches of New Zealand. Glucosamine, chondroitin, the green-lipped mussel powder and the collagen-containing UC-II® collagen* are contained in the capsules of Doppelherz system MSM GLUCOSAMIN of animal origin.
UC-II® collagen*
Collagen is an important protein in the human body. The protein is the main component of most connective and supporting tissues. Collagen is also a fibre component of bones, cartilage and tendons. Collagen fibres have a considerable tensile strength. Collagen fibres with a diameter of 1 mm, for example, can withstand a load of 10-40 kilograms. Collagen is represented in the human body in well over 20 forms, which can be divided into different subgroups (types). Collagen type I, for example, is mainly found in skin and bones, while collagen type II is found in cartilage.

How to use
- Take 2 capsules daily with a meal and sufficient liquid.
- Note: For consumers with impaired glucose tolerance, monitoring of blood glucose levels and insulin requirements is recommended. Consumers who are being treated with coumarin anticoagulants should only use the product after consulting a doctor. Blood coagulation should be carefully monitored. Due to lack of data, pregnant women, nursing mothers, children and adolescents should not use the product.
