Dechra AviConcept® according to Dr Steinmetz powder is a supplementary feed for ornamental and wild birds and pigeons to support feather formation in the event of increased nutritional requirements, for example during moulting, egg formation and growth.

Directions for use
Initially given daily over a period of 2 to 4 weeks:
- Ornamental and wild birds with a body weight of around 40 g: 0.5 g AviConcept® with their usual food, in soft food or over fruit.
- Parrots and pigeons: 2 g AviConcept® per 500 g body weight mixed into the usual compound feed or powdered over fruit. One filled measuring spoon contains approx. 0.5 g AviConcept®. For better adhesion, grain feed or millet can be slightly moistened with a little water.
- Aviary birds can also be given AviConcept® mixed with honey for free consumption. Offer fresh every day.
Veterinary advice should be sought before extending the feeding period. Due to the higher zinc content compared to a complete feed, an AviConcept® proportion of 2.0 % in the total ration should not be exceeded.
Ingredients
- Composition: glucose, seaweed meal, yeast powder.
- Additives per kg: Amino acids: 371,120 mg L-lysine [as L-lysine monohydrochloride, 3c322], 214,000 mg DL-methionine [3c301], 500,000 μg D-(+)-biotin [3a880]. Trace elements: 5,900 mg zinc [as amino acid zinc chelate hydrate, 3b606, and zinc sulphate monohydrate, 3b605] Technological additives: 75,000 mg diatomaceous earth [E 551c], sodium propionate [E 281].
- Analytical constituents: 61 % crude protein, 1.0 % crude fat, 0.4 % crude fibre, 18 % crude ash.
