Areas of application

Acute or chronic wounds and the surrounding skin:

• Diabetic ulcers
• Arterial and venous ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Post-operative wounds healing by secondary intention
• Traumatic or surgical wounds (abrasions, incisions, lacerations)
• Burns and scalds (Grade III: following surgical debridement)
• Epidermolysis bullosa

Suitable for hyperkeratotic skin conditions such as those that may occur in association with lymphoedema.

Intended use

The monofilament fibre swab is used to absorb exudate, debris and skin keratoses during the debridement of superficial, deep and surgically invasive wounds or wound cavities.

Application

• Tip: Debrisoft Lolly achieves excellent results even with severe keratotic or necrotic deposits, provided these have been treated autolytically beforehand. The soft fibre side can be moistened with any standard wound irrigation solution, in accordance with national guidelines.
• Notes: Product for debridement; does not remain on the wound. Can be used at each dressing change if required.

Ingredients

Composition: The head of the Debrisoft Lolly consists of monofilament polyester fibres and is sewn with a blue radiopaque thread made of polypropylene (containing barium sulphate and polyester). The inside of the head is coated with polyacrylate. The head is sewn together with a polypropylene handle.
