Cutimed® Sorbion® Sorbact® is a bacteria- and fungus-binding wound dressing with Sorbact technology. The wound dressing consists of a Sorbact DACC™-coated wound contact layer in combination with a super-absorbent core that absorbs and binds excessive exudate, thereby optimising the wound environment. The purely physical mode of action binds bacteria and fungi and removes them with every dressing change, without additional endotoxins.
Cutimed® Sorbion® Sorbact® is a bacteria-binding superabsorbent wound dressing that combines the effective action of Cutimed® Sorbact® with outstanding exudate management. Cutimed® Sorbion® Sorbact® binds germs according to the principle of hydrophobic interaction, while the high-performance absorbent core absorbs high volumes of exudate and safely traps it inside the product. This reduces the number of germs in the wound with each dressing change and minimises the risk of maceration

Application
The frequency of dressing changes depends on the amount of exudate, the overall condition of the wound and the wound environment. If the clinical condition allows, the dressing can remain on the wound for up to 7 days.
