Cutimed® Sorbion® Sachet S offers a high capacity for absorbing wound exudate. Thanks to its special structure, the sterile dressing also supports gentle mechanical debridement and thus promotes wound cleansing.
Cutimed® Sorbion® Sachet S is a superabsorbent wound dressing for the treatment of moderately to excessively exuding wounds. The hydrokinetic fibre matrix of Cutimed Sorbion with integrated highly water-retaining polymers (superabsorbents) creates a moist wound environment, absorbs large amounts of wound exudate and traps it securely in the product core. In this way, the risk of maceration can be reduced and the healing process optimally supported.
Cutimed® Sorbion® Sachet is a sterile, hydroactive, gel-forming, highly exudate-absorbing wound dressing. The dressing consists of a highly water-binding, superabsorbent core and an outer layer of hypoallergenic polypropylene. Both sides of the dressing can be applied to the wound. The product is free from pharmacological agents, binders and adhesives.
Properties
- Effective, vertical exudate management
- Ideal for compression therapy
- Wound cleansing effect included
Product benefits
- Effective, vertical exudate management: Powerful exudate absorption capacity1 and high retention performance. Up to 33% more absorption than comparable competitors. Protection against maceration thanks to safe, vertical absorption.
- Ideal for compression therapy: thanks to the high retention capacity, exudate, germs and inflammatory factors such as MMPs are safely trapped in the product core and prevent rewetting into the wound and clothing - even under compression.
- Wound cleansing effect included: Continuous wound bed cleansing by reducing the proportion of fibrinous coatings (soft debridement).2,3
- Can be used on both sides: safe application by avoiding application errors.
- Time- and cost-saving: time and cost savings due to fewer dressing changes and care requirements.4
Intended use
- Indications: Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S is suitable for the treatment of moderately to excessively exuding wounds such as decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and other wounds with secondary wound healing, weeping laparotomy wounds, skin fistulas, exuding carcinomas, postoperative wound dehiscences and similar wounds with exudation.
- Wearing time: Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S can remain on the wound for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the saturation of the wound dressing.

Application
- Before applying Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S, disinfect hands and use gloves.
- If necessary, rinse the wound and then remove the remaining cleaning solution.
- Select a suitable dressing size to ensure that the absorbent inner core overlaps the wound edges by approx. 1 cm.
- Do not touch the wound pad when removing Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S from the bag.
- Apply the dressing to the wound. Both sides of the dressing can be applied to the wound.
- Secure the dressing after selecting a suitable fixation. Take into account the condition of the wound environment and the skin. Foils, medical adhesive tape, bandages or other suitable fixation materials can be used. When fixing the dressing, take into account the expansion due to absorption.
Removal: To remove Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S, remove the fixation, lift one corner of Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S and carefully remove and dispose of the dressing. The adhesion of wound coatings to Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S is a desirable effect that contributes to wound cleansing (soft debridement).
