Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S Drainage is a superabsorbent wound dressing with a slit shape, especially for catheters, drains, etc
Due to its slit shape, it adapts particularly well to exit points around tubes etc. At the same time, Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S Drainage has all the proven advantages of the Cutimed Sorbion Sachet product range and is characterised by effective exudate management.
Characteristics
- Special shape
- Effective, vertical exudate management
- Wound cleansing effect included
Product advantages
- Special shape: The special slotted shape has been specially developed for easy and time-saving use with catheters, drains, etc
- Effective, vertical exudate management: Powerful exudate absorption capacity1 and high retention performance. Up to 33% more absorption than comparable competitors. Protection against maceration thanks to safe, vertical absorption.
- Wound cleansing effect included: Continuous wound bed cleansing by reducing the proportion of fibrinous coatings (soft debridement).2,3,4
- Can be used on both sides: safe application by avoiding application errors.
- Time- and cost-saving: time and cost savings due to fewer dressing changes and less care required.4
Intended use
- Indications: Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S Drainage is indicated for the treatment of moderately to excessively exuding wounds, such as decubitus ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and other wounds with secondary wound healing, weeping laparotomy wounds, skin fistulas, exuding carcinomas, postoperative wound dehiscences and similar wounds with exudation
- Wearing time: Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S Drainage can remain on the wound for up to seven days, depending on the condition of the wound and the exudate saturation of the wound dressing. It is recommended that the dressing is initially changed every 24 hours and then less frequently if necessary. A completely saturated wound dressing must always be avoided.

Application
- Disinfect hands and use gloves before applying Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S Drainage.
- If necessary, rinse the wound and then remove the remaining cleaning solution.
- Select a suitable dressing size to ensure that the absorbent inner core overlaps the wound edges by approx. 1 cm.
- Do not touch the wound pad when removing Cutimed Sorbion Sachet S Drainage from the bag.
- Apply the dressing to the wound. Both sides of the dressing can be applied to the wound.
- Secure the dressing after selecting a suitable fixation. Take into account the condition of the wound environment and the skin. Foils, medical adhesive tape, bandages or other suitable fixation materials can be used. When fixing the dressing, take into account the expansion due to absorption.
