ConvaTec VARIHESIVE® Extra thin hydrocolloid dressing sterile, 5 x 20 cm, 10 ST

VARIHESIVE® Extra Thin combines the unique ConvaTec hydrocolloid formulation, which sets it apart from other hydrocolloid dressings, and a water vapour impermeable film to create an occlusive, moist wound environment.

VARIHESIVE® Extra Thin is a hydrocolloid dressing for the management of low exuding wounds.

Varihesive Extra Thin is a thin sterile hydrocolloid dressing. It consists of a hydrocolloid layer embedded in an adhesive polymer matrix on the inside (on top of the wound) and a film-coated polyurethane foam on the outside. Together with the wound secretion, the dressing forms a moist environment that favours the healing process. This is achieved by supporting autolytic debridement, facilitating the migration of epithelial cells and atraumatic dressing changes that do not damage newly formed tissue. Varihesive Extra Thin can be used as a primary dressing or as a secondary dressing in combination with other wound dressings. The adhesive layer contains elastomeric polymers that support the dressing's ability to absorb wound exudate by forming a cohesive gel.
