The VARIHESIVE® E Border sterile hydrocolloid dressing from ConvaTec supports natural wound healing. With its border design, it offers additional support and protection against contamination.

VARIHESIVE® E Border contains the unique ConvaTec hydrocolloid formulation, which distinguishes the dressing from other hydrocolloid dressings. The additional fixation edge makes the dressing suitable for treating problematic areas of the body

Varihesive E Border is a hydrocolloid dressing. It consists of a hydrocolloid layer embedded in an adhesive polymer matrix on the inside (resting on the wound) and a film-coated polyurethane foam on the outside. Together with the wound secretion, the dressing forms a moist environment that favours the healing process. This is achieved by supporting autolytic debridement, facilitating the migration of epithelial cells and by atraumatic dressing changes that do not damage newly formed tissue. Varihesive E Border can be used as a primary dressing or as a secondary dressing in combination with other wound dressings. The adhesive layer contains elastomeric polymers that support the ability of the dressing to absorb wound exudate by forming a cohesive gel.

Areas of application

• Chronic wounds - skin ulcers (including deep wounds), stage 1-4 pressure ulcers, lower leg ulcers.
• Acute wounds - superficial wounds (e.g. minor abrasions), 2nd degree burns, split skin removal sites

• Composition: Wound contact layer: triple hydrocolloid matrix consisting of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, pectin, gelatine.
