ConvaTec Aquacel® Foam non-adhesive sterile foam dressing 10 x 10 cm, 10 ST

The ConvaTec Aquacel® Foam non-adhesive sterile foam dressing is an innovative solution for modern wound care. The Hydrofibre® technology ensures an optimal wound climate and supports the healing process.

AQUACEL® Foam consists of a waterproof outer layer of polyurethane film and a multi-layer absorbent wound pad. The foam dressing is available in various adhesive and non-adhesive versions. The adhesive versions have a silicone adhesive edge. The multi-layer wound pad consists of a layer of polyurethane foam and a wound contact layer made of Hydrofibre® technology (sodium carboxymethyl cellulose).

Areas of application

AQUACEL® Foam is suitable for the treatment of acute and chronic, moderately exuding wounds, e.g:

• leg ulcers
• decubitus ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Surgical wounds
• Traumatic wounds
• Second degree burns

Application

AQUACEL® Foam dressings can be used under medical supervision to treat exuding and non-exuding wounds and to protect intact skin. The AQUACEL® Foam dressing can be used as part of a comprehensive care protocol to protect the intact skin from lesions. AQUACEL® Foam dressings can be used as a primary or secondary dressing.
