The Compeed® Cold Sore Patch with hydrocolloid technology contains an active gel to accelerate wound healing and prevent scab formation. It works from the very first sign of a cold sore and supports healing throughout all stages.

Thanks to its discreet design, it not only provides optimal coverage and protection for the cold sore but can even be covered with make-up.

The spread of the herpes virus is reduced by the protective barrier provided by the cold sore patch.

How it works – thanks to hydrocolloid technology

The Compeed® Cold Sore Patch works by accelerating the body’s natural healing process. Its hydrocolloid technology with active gel provides an optimal, germ-free environment for wound healing and prevents scab formation. The discreet cold sore patch acts as a protective shield over and around the affected area, preventing the virus from spreading.
Stays securely in place for up to 12 hours.
For best results, the Compeed® Cold Sore Patch should be applied at the first sign of a cold sore and the sore should be covered round the clock until the area has completely healed.

Features

Directions for use

Wash your hands before and after use. Apply the patch to clean, dry skin. Do not apply any cream or lip balm, as this may cause the patch to come away from your lip.
Hold the transparent backing film by the curved end.
Separate one applicator from the others along the perforated edge.
Carefully peel the transparent backing film away from the turquoise protective cover.
You will now see the round cold sore patch on the top part of the transparent backing film. Take care not to touch the adhesive side of the patch.
Now place this part of the backing film onto the cold sore – ideally in front of a mirror. Gently press the applicator down to secure the patch firmly onto the cold sore.
Carefully peel off the transparent backing film and leave the patch in place until it starts to come away on its own. You are welcome to cover it with lipstick or make-up.

Notes – Application

You can use the Compeed® Cold Sore Patch at the first signs of an outbreak (e.g. tingling or itching) at any stage of the outbreak. It noticeably speeds up wound healing, particularly during the healing phase.
The Compeed® Cold Sore Patch should be worn round the clock until the blister has healed. A patch will come off by itself after about 12 hours and should then be replaced with a new one.
Do not remove the patch to allow the blister to ‘breathe’. This would actually be counterproductive and may prolong the skin’s natural wound-healing process*. It has been clinically proven that continuous use of the Herpes Blister Patch maintains the ideal environment for wound healing*.
