Dosage form
How to use
- Wash your hands before and after use. Apply the patch to clean, dry skin. Do not apply any cream or lip balm, as this may cause the patch to detach from the lip.
- Hold the transparent backing film at the curved end.
- Separate one applicator from the others along the perforated edge.
- Carefully remove the transparent backing film from the turquoise protective cover.
- You will now see the round cold sore patch on the upper part of the transparent backing film. Be careful not to touch the adhesive side of the patch.
- Now place this part of the backing film on the cold sore - preferably in front of a mirror. Gently press the applicator to securely attach the patch to the cold sore.
- Carefully peel off the transparent backing film and leave the patch in place until it starts to come off on its own. You are welcome to cover it with lipstick or make-up.
Instructions - Application
- You can use the Compeed® Herpes Blister Patch at the first signs (e.g. tingling or itching) at any stage of an outbreak. It significantly accelerates wound healing, especially during the wound healing phase.
- The Compeed® herpes blister patch should be worn around the clock until the blister has healed. A patch comes off by itself after approx. 12 hours and should then be replaced by a new one.
- Do not remove the patch so that the blister can "breathe". This would actually be counterproductive and can prolong the skin's own wound healing process*. It has been clinically proven that continuous application of the cold sore patch maintains the ideal wound healing environment*.
