Cional concentrate, 100 ml

This medical device, in the form of a concentrate, is available without prescription. In order to achieve the best possible treatment success, CIONAL should be used as prescribed. Please consult your dentist, doctor or pharmacist if you require further information.

You can use CIONAL if you suffer from

• bleeding gums and/or
• irritation, inflammation

of the gums and oral mucosa or for preventive purposes only.

How do you use CIONAL?

• CIONAL can be dabbed undiluted onto the affected areas of the mouth several times a day (with a cotton bud or a brush)
• For rinsing or gargling, dilute CIONAL (e.g. for bleeding gums, 10-30 drops in 100 ml water)
• For oral hygiene, you can add a few drops of CIONAL to the water tank of your oral irrigator, then rinse with clear water
• It should be used after meals and after brushing your teeth. Afterwards, you should not rinse your mouth for at least 15 minutes to allow CIONAL to work properly.
• If you have a rough or dry feeling in your mouth after using CIONAL, this is the intended effect of CIONAL. Use CIONAL according to these instructions.
• If you are unsure or if inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa persists for longer than 1 week, please consult a dentist, doctor or pharmacist.

What side effects can CIONAL have?

Only rarely do people who use CIONAL experience a hypersensitivity reaction (allergic reaction). The excipients propylene glycol and macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate can irritate the skin.

How do I store CIONAL?

Please keep CIONAL out of sight and reach of children. The expiry date of this pack is printed on the label and on the folding box. Please do not use this pack after the expiry date.

Storage conditions

Do not store at temperatures above 25°C! CIONAL is stable for 3 months after opening. Precipitation is possible, but has no influence on the effectiveness and tolerability of CIONAL. Dispose of empty bottles and outer cartons in the household waste.

• For oral hygiene, add a few drops to the water tank of your oral irrigator and then rinse with clear water

Special instructions

• Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.
• Contains 14% alcohol by volume.
• Not for children under 12 years.
• Macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate and orioylene glycol may irritate the skin.
• No sufficient test results are available for pregnant women who are breastfeeding and should therefore not be used by these groups of people. No interactions with medicinal products known.
• If symptoms persist for longer than 1 week, please consult a doctor or pharmacist.
• Please do not use CIONAL if you are hypersensitive to aluminium formate or any of the other ingredients. Do not use CIONAL on children under 12 years of age.
• Please observe the instructions for use!

Ingredients

10g Cional (equivalent to 9.6ml) contains: 0.909g aluminium formate 3H2O.

Other ingredients: Bitter fennel oil, ethanol 96% (v/v), macrogol glycerol hydroxystearate (Ph.Eur.), clove oil, propylene glycol, sorbitol (Ph. Eur.), purified water, sugar couleur (E150c).

Active ingredient: aluminium formate.

Contains 12.4 % alcohol by volume.
