Chevita Boviferm® Plus SID bags are a dietary supplement to stabilise the water and electrolyte balance and to support physiological digestion in calves.
Boviferm® plus SID promotes milk digestion and provides the calf with a balanced electrolyte complex, probiotic bacteria, mucilage and swelling agents, vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
Properties
- Specially developed for feeding with milk or milk replacer.
- With an S.I.D. (Strong Ion Difference) value of 77, the buffering capacity against acidosis is exceptionally good.
- Contains Oralin®, a microbial feed additive to stabilise the intestinal flora.
- Contains a balanced electrolyte complex as well as mucilage and swelling agents, vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
- This unique combination is the ideal basis for successful diarrhoea treatment.

How to use
- If there is a risk of, during or after digestive disorders (diarrhoea): Stir 1 sachet of Boviferm® plusSID into 2 litres of water (max. 50°C) twice a day and supplement with 0.5-4 litres of milk or milk replacer up to the normal drinking quantity. Do not stop drinking milk! Additionally offer water for free intake.
- Boviferm® plusSID is fed for 2 to 3 days.
- Simultaneous oral administration of macrolides should be avoided. It is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian before feeding.
Ingredients
- Composition: dextrose, whey powder (partially desugared), sodium chloride, potassium chloride, banana flakes, rice bran, camomile, pectin, aniseed, fennel, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride.
- Analytical constituents: Crude protein 4.0 %, crude fibre 1.4 %, crude fat 0.5 %, crude ash 21.0 %, sodium 4.4 %, potassium 3.0 %, chlorides 3.8 %.
- Additives per kg - Nutritional additives: Vitamin A (3a672a) 75,000 I. E., Vitamin E (3a700) 440 mg, Zootechnical additive: Enterococcus faecium DSM 10663 / NCIMB 10415 (4b1707) (Oralin®) 1.75 x 1010 CFU, Technological additives: Sodium propionate (E 281), Guar gum (E412); Bentonite (1m558i) 30,000mg.
