Ceva rehydion® Gel is a liquid dietary supplement for calves, intended for use in oral rehydration in cases of diarrhoea.
rehydion® Gel contains an ideal combination of electrolytes, glucose and water. It is therefore in line with the latest scientific findings and meets the needs of dehydrated calves.
The gel concentrate is based on acetate, citrate and propionate. Unlike other electrolyte solutions, it does not contain bicarbonate, as bicarbonate, when used as a buffer, has an adverse effect on milk coagulation. This means that rehydion® Gel can be mixed into both milk and water. This ensures that milk-based feeding can continue without interruption. This, in turn, helps prevent weight loss, strengthens the calf’s own immune system and provides the calf with additional energy.

Usage
- rehydion® Gel is intended for use in calves at risk of, during or following digestive disorders (diarrhoea). It is recommended that you seek the advice of a vet before use or if extending the course of treatment.
- Each bottle is fitted with a practical dosing cap. This makes it easy to use in all housing systems. One bottle is generally sufficient for treating 2 calves or for 16 litres of feedlot liquid.
- The recommended duration of treatment is 2–7 days.
- Notes: Any discolouration of the gel during use does not affect the quality of the product.
Ingredients
- Composition: glucose, potassium chloride, sodium chloride.
- Molarity per litre of feed solution: Sodium 100 mmol, Chloride 50 mmol, Potassium 23 mmol, Buffer substances (SID) 75 mmol.
- Analytical constituents (m/m): Crude protein 0.0 %, Crude oils and fats 0.0 %, Crude fibre 0.0 %, Crude ash 30.0 %, Sodium 11.5 %, Potassium 4.5 %, Chlorides 8.6 %, Water 51.0 %.
