Many people find freckles or age spots unsightly. Although these pigmentation disorders are harmless , for many they are simply superfluous and above all annoying.

They tend to appear on the face and the backs of the hands. While freckles are more or less pronounced depending on the season and the amount of sunlight, age spots become more frequent with increasing age and do not lighten during the winter months. What both types of hyperpigmentation have in common is that they are caused by oxidation (reaction with oxygen). Normally, the body's own pigments are distributed evenly in the upper layers of the skin. Freckles are caused by melanocytes whose activity is increased. The triggering factor is UVB light, which massively stimulates pigment formation in numerous small areas and leads to the formation of spots containing melanin. Age spots are very similar to freckles, but differ in their colour. They are caused by the accumulation of various pigmented metabolic products that cannot be removeddue to a lack of metabolic activity.

Celerit® Plus, the cosmetic product containing watercress extract , vitamins C + E and light stabilisers, tackles this problem from various angles. Even old herbal books describe that applying watercress leaves can have a bleaching effect. This effect is additionally supported by vitamin C. As an antioxidant, vitamin E can counteract the formation of new pigment spots and promote even pigmentation. However, the pigment-forming power of the sun's rays often cancels out this effect or at least weakens it in areas of the skin that are exposed to sunlight. For this reason, Celerit® Plus contains light protection filters that provide a certain degree of protection against the sun's rays. When used regularly, Celerit® Plus can gently and effectively help the skin to minimiseannoying summer sprouts or age spots and maintain a good appearance.

Celerit® Plus can also be used to prevent the formation of freckles or age spots.Hands, face and décolleté should be creamed more frequently, especially on sunny days, at the seaside, in the mountains and in southern holiday resorts , to ensure effective protection against harmful UV radiation. Celerit® Plus is particularly suitable for spring and summer due to its sun protection factor. If after 4-6 weeks of use no fading of the hyperpigmentation is visible , further bleaching can no longer be expected. Celerit® Plus can of course continue to be used to care for your skin and prevent age spots from expanding or intensifying.

How to use

Apply a thin layer of Celerit® Plus to the over-pigmented areas of skin in the morning and evening after cleansing and massage in gently with your fingertips. Can also be used as a make-up base.
Celerit® Plus bleaching cream for external use on freckles and age spots nourishes the skin and offers a certain degree of protection from the sun's raysthanks to its light protection filters.
