Rose root (Rhodiola rosea) - also known as golden root in Siberia - is a perennial succulent that can reach a height of up to 35 cm. It forms a tuberous, underground stem as a survival organ, from which the above-ground parts of the plant sprout. The strong rose-like odour of the root gives it its name.
Rose root has been cultivated since 1542; it is native to the northern hemisphere and extends far into the Arctic regions. The root extract is widely used in Russian, Baltic and Scandinavian countries. With its calm nature, roseroot is a reliable companion in our hectic and fast-moving times.
Our roseroot tincture is made from dried and finely chopped roseroot roots from certified organic cultivation. They are made into a strong full tincture, which is regularly and carefully shaken by hand. Our roseroot tincture matures for at least three months before bottling.
