Active ingredients

• Capsaicin is one of the traditional ingredients of Native American medicine and is also frequently used in modern medicine. Often used for nerve pain and other joint and muscle conditions, capsaicin works with the body to produce a deep, healing heat while interacting with neurotransmitters in the skin to physically block pain, inflammation and muscle spasms. Capsaicin is also known to promote blood circulation, kill bacteria and speed up metabolism. Proportion in Capsicolle heat plasters: 2.89%.
• Menthol is a component of peppermint essential oil and is often used for its cooling and anaesthetic (or analgesic) effect. When menthol is applied to the skin, it is absorbed by the neurotransmitters and interrupts the pain signals in the brain by replacing them with sensations of heat and cold. Proportion in Capsicolle heat plasters: 7.8%.
• Camphor is extracted from the bark and wood of the camphor tree. It is used to treat pain, warts, cold sores, haemorrhoids, arthritis, itching, to increase local blood circulation and as a sedative. Camphor is an FDA-approved topical analgesic and anaesthetic for pain relief. Proportion in Capsicolle heat plasters: 9.6%.

Application

The plaster is very sticky. So plan where and how you are going to apply it before you remove the protective film and make sure that the plaster does not fold and stick to itself.

• Wash the area with soap and water and then dry it.
• Peel off half of the protective film on the back of the plaster - leaving only half of the sticky side exposed will prevent the plaster from folding and sticking to itself.
• Place the plaster in the correct position and remove the other half of the film while carefully pressing it on.
• You can increase the function of the plaster if the pores of your skin open due to physical activity/sweating.
• Remove the plaster after 8 hours at the latest.
• Do not use more than 3 patches per day up to a maximum of 7 days.
• Be sure to read the 'Important information and warnings' section on this page before using the patch.
• Warnings: Do not use on skin diseases, skin injuries or skin damage. Do not use on skin that cannot feel heat or cold. Do not use if you are allergic to capsaicin or other ingredients of the product. In rare cases, an allergic reaction may occur, causing skin irritation, itching or a rash. If this is the case, stop using the pad immediately and seek medical advice if necessary. Do not use 1 hour before or after bathing. Must not come into contact with mucous membranes, especially the eyes. Wash your hands after using the patch. Do not use more than 3 patches per day up to a maximum of 7 days. Do not use the heat patch while sleeping and do not apply too much pressure to it. Do not apply the patch to people who are unable to remove it themselves. If the patch feels too hot, take it off. Do not use the heat patch if you cannot remove it easily. Our adhesive is hypoallergenic - similar to a normal skin patch - if you are allergic to adhesives you should seek medical advice before use. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist before use.
