The Burnshield dressing (100 mm x 100 mm) is a foam dressing impregnated with sterile Burnshield trauma hydrogel, packaged in a foil pouch. Burnshield is a sterile trauma hydrogel that can be used for minor burns and scalds. Thanks to its high water content, Burnshield hydrogel has a cooling and soothing effect by absorbing and dissipating heat, thereby minimising skin damage. The gel is white to cream-coloured and becomes transparent after application. This allows the healing process to be monitored. It does not stick to the wound, is non-toxic and does not irritate the skin. Also suitable for children.
Instructions for use
- Open the sterile packaging.
- Remove the foam dressing from the packaging.
- Place a foam dressing over the wound.
- Secure the foam dressing with a non-adhesive dressing.
- To prevent the wound from drying out, reapply Burnshield Hydrogel to the dressing.
- Consult a doctor if necessary.
