Burgerstein L-Glutamine Powder is a dietary supplement. L-glutamine is an amino acid that is essential for the body. In muscle cells, L-glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid, whilst for intestinal cells, L-glutamine serves as the main source of energy.

In stressful situations, such as serious illnesses, injuries, burns and operations, the body’s own production of glutamine is often insufficient to meet its needs, and an external supply (through diet or supplements) becomes necessary. L-glutamic acid is a non-essential amino acid that the body can produce in sufficient quantities from various precursors. L-glutamic acid itself serves as a precursor for L-glutamine.
