Burgerstein Turmeric Complex contains a high-quality turmeric extract, produced using a special technology, as well as rosemary extract and all the natural forms of vitamin E.

Turmeric (Curcuma longa), which belongs to the ginger family, is much more than just a spice. The intensely yellow turmeric powder is widely recognised as one of the main ingredients in curry. The dried and powdered Curcuma longa root, with curcumin as its key active ingredient, gives curry its characteristic colour. Native to India and South-East Asia, turmeric has been used therapeutically in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine for over 4,000 years. India remains a leading producer of turmeric today, accounting for approximately 80 per cent of the global harvest.

Here in the UK, the many benefits of turmeric extracts have only become more widely recognised in recent years. The wide range of different dosage forms and the often low bioavailability are frequently criticised. It is therefore very important to pay close attention to the choice of turmeric extract when purchasing a dietary supplement containing turmeric.
