Bronchostop® Irritable cough cough syrup, 200 ML

Bronchostop® Dry Cough Syrup, containing the ReizStill formula made from Iceland moss, marshmallow and hyaluronic acid, is a medical device. The extracts act like a soothing protective film that coats the irritated throat lining, thereby relieving the urge to cough.

Bronchostop® Dry Cough Syrup is intended to relieve coughs associated with the common cold (dry and productive) as well as cold-related sore throats, associated hoarseness, the urge to cough and a scratchy sensation in the throat, dryness of the mouth and throat, and difficulty swallowing.

BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup contains a ReizStill formula made from Iceland moss, marshmallow and hyaluronic acid.

The extracts of Iceland moss (Cetraria islandica) and marshmallow root (Althea officinalis) act like a soothing protective film that coats the irritated throat lining. The mucilage contained in the product forms a physical protective film that keeps foreign particles at bay and protects the mucous membrane. This soothes the urge to cough and allows the mucous membrane to recover quickly. Hyaluronic acid and xanthan help to moisturise the mouth and throat, thereby supporting the soothing properties of Iceland moss (Cetraria islandica) and marshmallow root (Althea officinalis). The combination of these ingredients also promotes longer-lasting relief from the cough.

Furthermore, BRONCHOSTOP® for dry cough helps to protect the mucous membranes in the mouth and throat from drying out. BRONCHOSTOP® for dry cough is a syrup containing predominantly natural ingredients and is therefore very well tolerated. Furthermore, the syrup is sugar-free and therefore tooth-friendly.

Furthermore, BRONCHOSTOP® for dry coughs contains no alcohol, lactose, gluten or artificial colourings, nor does it contain any genetically modified organisms.

Mechanism of action

• Icelandic moss and marshmallow form a protective film on the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.
• Hyaluronic acid binds with the protective film formed by marshmallow and Iceland moss, thereby stabilising it and making it last longer.
• Hyaluronic acid helps to moisturise the mouth and throat, regenerates the mucous membranes and thus supports the soothing properties of Iceland moss and marshmallow.
• The combination of these ingredients also promotes longer-lasting relief from coughs

Directions for use

• Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over: 15 ml three times a day.
• Children aged 6–11 years: 7.5 ml three times a day.
• Children aged 3–5 years: 5 ml three times a day.
• Children aged 1–2 years: 5 ml twice daily.
• BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup is recommended for children aged 1 year and over.
• Use in patients with diabetes: 15 ml of BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup contains 0.10 BE (bread units).
• Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: The use of BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  
• Notes: However, for children aged 1 to 4 years, a doctor should be consulted before using BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup to rule out any more serious condition . A measuring cup is included to facilitate dosing. BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup contains methyl p-hydroxybenzoate and propyl p-hydroxybenzoate as preservatives, as well as eucalyptus oil. These substances may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol of sodium (23 mg) per 15 ml, i.e. it is essentially ‘sodium-free’.
• Taking BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup at the same time as other medicines: If you are taking other medicines, you should leave a gap of half an hour to one hour before or after taking BRONCHOSTOP® Dry Cough Syrup.
  
• Please consult a doctor if: your symptoms persist or worsen after 5 days. Symptoms such as fever or purulent sputum occur whilst using BRONCHOSTOP® Irritable Cough Syrup.

• Composition per 15 ml: 324 mg dried extract of Iceland moss (Cetraria islandica) 168 mg dried extract of marshmallow root 25.80 mg sodium hyaluronate 60 mg xanthan gum.
• Other ingredients: methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, xylitol, anhydrous glycerine, citric acid monohydrate, lemon-lime flavouring (contains limonene), sodium saccharin, eucalyptus oil (contains cineol), purified water.
