Braunoderm® coloured solution is used for skin disinfection with a combination of alcohol and PVP iodine.
Braunoderm® coloured is an alcoholic skin disinfectant for disinfecting the skin before surgical procedures, injections, punctures, catheterisations, blood sampling and vaccinations. Braunoderm® coloured is effective against bacteria [incl. tuberculosis pathogens and antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains (e.g. MRSA)], fungi as well as enveloped viruses and polioviruses.

Dosage form

Application
The skin is kept moist by the undiluted preparation for the entire prescribed exposure time. Braunoderm® coloured is applied undiluted and rubbed in with a sterile swab. Wet the area of skin to be treated completely and allow to dry after the prescribed exposure time. Dab off any excess solution.
Ingredients
- 100 g solution contains: 50.0 g 2-propanol, 1.0 g polyvidon-iodine complex (with a content of 10 % available iodine), corresponding to 0.1 g available iodine.
- Other ingredients: potassium iodide, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, colouring agents yellow orange S (E 110), cochineal red A (E 124), brilliant black BN (E 151), purified water.
