Bolfo® the tick and flea protection band for small dogs and cats is a veterinary medicine for the control of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Ixodes ricinus) in cats and small dogs.
- For the control of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Ixodes ricinus) in cats and small dogs.

Dosage form
Application
- Mode of action: The collars continuously release their active ingredient in the form of a powder onto the fur and skin. As the animal moves, the powder is also distributed to more distant parts of the body such as the tail, croup and legs. Overdosing is not possible when using just one band.
- Application safety: Release mechanism on the collar for large dogs.
- Contraindications: Do not use on cats under 3 months of age. Do not use on puppies under 3 months of age.
- Collar to attach to the neck.
- One collar per animal.
- Remove the collar from the sealed protective packaging, unroll and remove the plastic residue from the inside of the collar. Place the collar loosely around the animal's neck and, if necessary, cut off the excess end that exceeds 2 cm. The collar must not be too tight (two fingers between the collar and neck are recommended). The skin around the neck should be checked in the first few days after the collar is put on, as not every animal can tolerate the pressure of a collar. The correct fit of the collar should be checked regularly.
- The duration of the protective effect depends on the length and condition of the coat, the activity of the animal and parasite infestation. In order to achieve optimum protection for animals with shaggy, matted or greasy coats, these animals should be shampooed and brushed before the collar is put on. If the effect wears off, put on a new collar.
- Grooming can be continued as usual. Before bathing, remove the collar from the animal and only put it back on when the animal is dry. If the animal frequently gets very wet (rain, swimming, bathing), this can reduce the effectiveness of the collar. In the event of flea infestation, all animals in the same household should be treated with an insecticide authorised for this purpose.

- One 12.5 g collar contains Active ingredient: Propoxur (2-isopropoxyphenyl)(methyl carbamate) 1.234 g.
- Other ingredients: dibutyl adipate, propylene glycol octanoate decanoate, epoxidised soybean oil, stearic acid, titanium dioxide, iron oxide hydrate, iron(III) oxide, iron(II,III) oxide, polyvinyl chloride.
