Biplatrix® rapid-setting plaster bandage is used for the rapid immobilisation of fresh fractures. Biplatrix® offers the advantage of minimal loss during dipping and is highly malleable.
Rapid immobilisation is often required, particularly when treating fresh fractures. For these applications, Biplatrix® is the rapid-setting plaster bandage of choice. It is particularly suitable for primary care. Biplatrix® is also available as a longette for individual cutting to size.
Biplatrix® stands out for its minimal soaking loss and excellent mouldability. It is easy to work with and ensures rapid immobilisation and high final strength, even with just a few layers. Biplatrix® is brilliant white.
Technical data
- Immersion water temperature: 20°C to 25°C
- Immersion time: Bandages approx. 4 seconds, longettes approx. 1.5 seconds
- Open time: approx. 2 minutes
- Load-bearing capacity: partially load-bearing after 30 minutes, fully load-bearing after 48 hours
Indications:
- For primary and secondary management of fractures and other injuries requiring immobilisation.
